The smell of stale beer and cigerarette smoke wafted through Tooley's bar like the mountain mist high up on Moon Shadow Peak. A small bell jingled as the front door opened and people entered. One among the throng slipped away and moved toward the bar, taking one of the two remaining free chairs before any others claimed them. A hand rested on the bar, scarred across the knuckles and back of the hand, but one finger raised.
Seeing that he had been summoned, the overweight bartender made his way slowly over to the man who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere and wanted something to drink. "What will it be tonight, Eclipse?" Tooley asked, his meaty hand and trusty dishrag stuffed down a slim necked tankard, cleaning whatever had been left in there. Tooley was overweight, there was no questioning that. His gut slipped over his dark washed jeans, which were held up by a simple black leather belt that was cracked more than a fallen eggshell. His white T-shirt was stained from years of working and owning Tooley's bar, but the apron tied around his waist looked brand new.
Lifting his head, pushing his slightly shaggy, feral looking ebony hair out of his light honey gaze landed on the bartender. A feral smirk crossed his face as he sat up straight, popping his spine in the process of stretching. "How bout a Yuengling, Tooley," the young man stated, sighing as he finished popping his back. Without a word, Tooley turned from him and Eclipse was left alone once more, but it didn't bother him. At 29 years old, Eclipse was use to being alone and was happy it was so, but there were times someone to talk to was better. In a few short moments, Tooley had his beer in front of him, and disappearing before Eclipse could produce some money to pay for the drink. The bartender already knew it was going to be a long night so there was no need to pay just yet. Taking his drink, Eclipse sat on his barstool and looked up at the slightly static t.v. and watched the football game that was on. Reruns. He sighed and drank his beer.

Another long day, and yet again she had found nothing. For the past week, every day had been the same, get up, get dressed, take the long trip to another wooded area, make the effort to Change, then after a few hours search, return tired and rather irritated. It was about time she could get some rest and a few pints down her.
Striding purposefully down the road toward Tooley's, Kait was the type of person who you wouldn't tend to take a second glance it. But if you did, you be sure you didn't want to get in her way. Especially when she was in a mood like this. She was dressed in a pair of tight-fitted dark jeans and a black camisole, worn converses on her feet. They may of been a few years out of date, but she still loved them. Her dark hair was worn loose, in slight waves down to her shoulder blades, the moon illuminating the faded blond highlights that the sun had given it, her features set into a mask of hidden frustration and exhaustion.
Pushing open the door to Tooley's with a slight sigh, she scanned the bard half-heartedly, eyes settling on a spare seat, then moving to the person sitting beside it. A man, seeming to be in his late twenties, with untidy obsidian hair. Kait couldn't quite figure it out, there was something about him that made her yearn for forests again. Shaking her head, she crossed the ground between them in a few quick strides.
"Is this seat taken?"

At the sound of a rather feminine voice, Eclipse lifted his brow and glanced over his right shoulder. There, standing not three feet behind him was a rather pretty young lady, maybe early twenties, no older than maybe 22 and that was pushing it. She had asked to sit in the seat next to him, a seat that hadn't been taken in nearly ten years. The left side of his lip twitched as a deep growl died in his throat and his hand lifted, waving Tooley away, as the bartender had been on his way to try and get the girl to sit somewhere else. "It isn't," he stated, his light honey orbs slowly creeping down the young woman's frame, taking in her out-of date shoes and tight-fitted jeans. Compaired to his oil stained, once-blue-now-black pants, work boots, and the black muscle shirt he had been wearing under his Eden Town Steel Mill uniform shirt, this female was a rose among throns. "You can sit if you like," he stated, turning his head from her and placing his beer back on the counter. It was 3/4's finished but Tooley was already reaching for another one when Eclipse shook his head, stopping the barkeep's motion.

Seating herself lightly upon the stool with a grateful smile, Kait gestured toward Tooley, quite looking forward to a drink after today's work. She could of easily been called a regular in here, having usually come here almost every night after work for her usual Bacardi and coke, or on a heavier night, six of seven pints. It was true, this girl could hold her drink.
Whilst waiting for the Tooley's attention, Kait's brow furrowed in thought, sneaking a furtive glance at the male beside her in vague curiosity. It was true, something about him seemed so familiar to her, almost as if... No. Her imagination was just running away with her. There was no chance at all that he'd be one of her kind. That was a thought better laid to rest.

Making his way over to the young woman who had sat herself next to Eclipse, Tooley cast a quick glance to Eclipse, before looking to the young woman. "What can I get you, Sweetheart?" he asked, noticing her as a regular, but not on the same nights as Eclipse. He honestly wondered how these two had come in on the same night and guessed it was Eclipse's fault, seeing as he could have been at work. With his left hand still buried in a tankard, he reached down below him and passed another Yuengling to Eclipse, ignoring the glare the young man shot him. Instead, he smiled at the young woman, wishing he had asked for a name to other times she had been in the bar.
Eclipse finished off his first beer and glanced at the second Tooley had placed before him. The stale taste of beer made him turn his nose up, but he took the drink anyway. He was lucky, the beer did nothing to his kidneys, nor did it leave him with a hangover, only a slight burning headache in the morning and a foul sniff in his nostrils throughout the evening. He took the second beer and toasted Tooley with it, growling very low under his breath a thank you. It was when he glanced at Tooley that he noticed the young woman who had sat next to him was glancing at him. With her short glances, he thought she was simply trying to get his attention, so he did what anyone else would have done and turned his eyes on her and gazed at her. "Yes?" he asked, his voice low and gravely as he waited for the female to state what she needed. Hopefully, she wasn't looking for a quicky or anything. Eclipse had been hoping for a run before heading to bed.

"Bacardi and coke, thanks," She said in tired, dismissive tones, placing one hand upon the counter and tapping long nail adorned fingers against it's damp surface, the rhythmic tone echoing around her.
As he spoke, Kait could of nearly fallen off her chair in surprise, fighting off a wince. She never was one for subtlety. What could she say? She couldn't exactly explain herself, he'd think she'd gone mad. Think, woman, think.
"Uhm...I haven't, er, seen you around here before..."
Give the girl a medal. That was most likely the stupidest thing she'd ever said. Well, she never was good under pressure.

Tooley nodded at her order and started working on making her drink. When she mentioned that she had never seen Eclipse around town before, he was unable to hide the grin that broke out over his face as he let out a sudden Ha! He shook his head, seeing that he was out of coke and was forced to leave his presious spot to go and fetch the liquid from storage.
"What does you not seeing me around here have to do with you glancing at me?" Eclipse asked, his tone neutral as he glared at the young woman, eyes flashing golden in the dim lights of the bar. He should have been more careful, but something about this girl made him feel at ease, as if he had stumbled upon another . . . dare he even finish the thought. Had he stumbled into Tooley's bar after a long day at work and found a wolf wanting to relax alongside him? He grunted, taking a swig of his drink, taking his eyes off the girl and looking back at the t.v.

Damn. She was going to have to think of something better than that to get him off her case. Or just get up and leave...Hah, fat chance. She'd have her drink or die trying. Hearing Tooley's laugh, she scowled, clenching the hand that lay on the bar into a fist. He really wasn't helping.
"Uhm...I was just curious..."
This really wasn't her day. God, how she would of loved a distraction. Anything...Her eyes passed over his shirt, seeing the familiar logo upon which. It would do. "You work at the steel mill?" her words meant more than what they would to a normal human, she knew full well that werewolves worked there. But he was most likely one of the humans there, the werewolf numbers were no less than dwindling. Her eyes flashed a startling neon shade of green for a moment or two before returning to hazel, waiting for her drink.

The flash in her eyes was missed by Eclipse as he glanced at the t.v., catching the last part of the news of a wild wolf being killed. There had been reports of wolf hunts, one of which had been after himself at one point, but this had been the first time a wolf had been killed. Luckily it didn't look like a werewolf. The fact that the female had asked about his place of employment caused him to glance back in general direction. "By my shirt, yes," he stated, not truely answering her question, but then again, he didn't have to explain himself to a human. Slowly, he stood, as Tooley placed her drink on the bar. "Later Tooley," he said, pulling his wallet out of his back pocket. As he opened it up, it was strange sight to see. Most men would have pictures of their family members, children, wife, girlfriend, or at least a friend. No such pictures lay within Eclipse's wallet, not anything but a ten, two twenties, and a box cutter. Pulling the ten out and laying it on the bar, he grabbed his bottle, turned it up, and finished off the last little bit. Without another word, he turned and left, leaving his empty bottle on the bar and his seat behind. The bell chimmed above the door, stating he had truely left the building.
"Eclipse," Tooley said, placing a dishrag on the bar top and cleaning where Eclipse had been sitting. "He works at the Steel Mill . . . . Been there since I guess he was young. Been coming here since he turned 21. Doesn't talk much . . . . First time I heard him say more than his drink order and bye," Tooley said, throwing the two bottles away and picking up the ten dollars. He winked at the young woman and pointed at the door. "If you hurry, you may just catch him. He rides a black Harley." With that, he turned his back on the woman and started giving out another drink.

Kait paused for a heavy moment or two, before glugging her drink down into two quick gulps, feeling the alcohol rush straight to her head, but not really caring. At least it would give her some courage. Slamming a fiver on the counter, she rose quickly and half jogged out the door, unceremoniously hitting it with a loud echoing slam, before pushing it open and rubbing her forehead. Black Harley, black harley...There. It was only as she approached it, that she realized she had no idea what she going to say. God she must be mad. How could she go about subtly implying she was a werewolf and wondered if he was one too?
"Hey! Wait a sec...uh..." Her brow furrowed in deep thought, as if she were fighting an internal battle.
"Listen...This may sound a little...strange, but just hear me out. You wouldn't happen to...uhm...have any, connection with..." This wasn't going well. She rubbed the space in between her eyebrows and frowned. She really shouldn't have drank that so fast. She swallowed and tried to think more clearly. "I've heard about this group of people that seem to hang around the National Park, well, by people, I mean...uh..." She cut off, not able to bring herself to say it. Hopefully, he knew what she meant. If not, it wasn't to late to make a run for it, and leave him thinking it was the alcohol gone to her head.

Eclipse looked up from astride his Harley as the young woman from inside came rushing outside. She seemed to have forgotten how to open the door, instead ramming her head into it to open. This caused Eclipse to let out a sinister chuckle as he bent to pick his keys out of the hiding spot on the bike. No pants pockets had made him find somewhere else he could hide the keys while he worked. Plus, with everyone in Eden Town knowing who's black Harley it was, they tended to leave it alone. Yet, when he straightened up, he found the young woman rubbed the spot between her brow, as if the headbutt to the door had been more than to much for her. She seemed to babbling on about people near Mountaion Mist National Park . . . His people. "What do you know about them?" he growled, slipping the key into the slot and starting his bike up, not even waiting for her reply. Not that the low rumble of the motorcycle could have caused him to miss her words, his ears could have picked out a pin drop over the sound of the engine.

Rubbing her forehead again, Kait scowled, folding her arms. He wasn't making this very easy for her.
"Well, it's just a...rumor, but I've heard they are somehow connected with...wolves..." Her voice dropped to a whisper, eyes flashing neon once more, in extreme embarrassment. He'd think her crazy. She wouldn't be surprised if the men in white turned up on her doorstep tomorrow morning. She ducked her head to hide the sudden acidic hue to her eyes, knowing like most who'd seen it for even a second would do a double take and ask her where she got her contact lenses. Even just speaking about wolves, she felt a slight ache in her limbs. Even though she had changed the past few days, they had been forced. She just wanted a natural change, to run. But unless she took a very long trip, she'd have no where but the streets to run. She felt a sigh escape her lips at the thought.

Eclipse couldn't hide the smirk that passed over his face. With the swift turn of his wrist, the engine died and he swung one leg over the bike, leaning his butt against the side of the black Harley. "You talk of things you don't even know about, pup," he growled, eyes flashing in the blinking lights of Tooley's bar sign. "There are things in those mountains that the townspeople fear. Talking about it this close to humans will only get yourself killed . . . . And possibly others," he growled, throwing his leg back over the center of the bike and turning the key once more, listening to the loud purr of the engine. He glanced over his shoulder, smirk still in place. "But if you believe such rumors . . . .Get on, and we'll see if their true," he purred over the engine, scooting up a bit, making room for her if she chose to get on.

Smirk mirrored now on Kait's own lips, eyes shining as the lights caught them.
"Trust me, I know..." She murmured in low tones, half to Eclipse, half to herself.
After surveying him for a moment, she grinned, then swung her leg over the bike and seated herself behind him, leaning close to his ear for a moment before smiling.
"Kaitlyn Moore," She said, her version of a greeting. This was turning out to be a very interesting night.

Feeling her behind him, Eclipse nodded, before turning his head a bit. In the process he turned it toward where he had heard her voice, putting his cheek near her lips. "Eclipse Holt," he grunted, leaning the bike to the side, bracing it with one leg, while kicking the kickstand with the other. Once the bike was balanced, he let go of the brake and clutch and pushed the bike off. "It's better to trust only those you've known for more than twenty minutes," he growled, reviving the bike to life, before turning it away from Tooley's bar and out onto the road. He turned it towards the west, heading for the old dirt road that led into the national park and to the plains. He would show this girl why it was best not to get on the back of Harleys with guys she didn't know. He doubt, if she wasn't one of his kind, she would ever go out in the night alone again.
((Now, seeing as Eclipse is fixing to take her to the Western Plains. If you want, you can go ahead and post your reply there, or you can post it here and I'll just post Eclipse's next reply i nthe plains. Either one is fine.))
