Vivian ran over the rocks on her way to the peak. They were starting to hurt her paws, but she ignored it. As she reached the top, she slowed to a walking pace. She got to the tip of the huge cliff overlooking the canyon. She shifted back into her human self, and sat on the edge. Her feet hung off and she swung them lightly. Vivian layed back and stared up at the stars.
Breathing in the cool night air, she relaxed. The moon was full, and in the distance, she heard a couple of howls. They echoed off the rocks, and Vivian could hear it all. She closed her eyes and felt her mind drifting off. Down the mountain, Vivian heard someone coming. Not toward her, exactly, but in her general direction. She dismissed it for now. If they got closer, she would shift and be ready to take on whoever it was.

Cyrus stood at one of the many ledges of Moon Shadow Peck, wondering silently why he had never come up here before now. It was beautiful and breath taking, something that was sorely missed within the confines of Bucharest city limits. As he stood there, booted feet nudging rocks off the ledge, ground lenght, black leather trench coat flapping in the chilly breeze, he sighed, taking a deep breath and let it out. As he did this, he smelt another nearby.
Turning his head, and looking up, he found a pair of feet hanging above him. His first instinct was to growl and lunge at the feet, bring the person down with him and possibly kill the human for disturbing such a beautiful place with their musky scent, but it was that musky scent that stopped him. It wasn't human, but werewolf and a female one at that. A toothy grin spread over his face as he turned to the cliff wall.
Reaching out, he grasped a rock that was jutting out and swung his body away from the ledge he had been standing on. Granted, yes, there probably was some path that would take him up, but why waste time looking for the path when he could just simply scale the cliff wall and get up there quicker. It wasn't a long climd, but it caused a thin layer of sweat to build under his trench coat, causing his bare chest to shine with the sweat and his pants to stick to his legs most uncomfortably. Finally, reaching the ledge, he pulled himself up, nearly on top of the girl, but was at least a good three or four feet away from her.
"Hey dere, good looken'," he drawled, an accent picked up from a long stay in Scotland giving him a bit of a Scottish accent. "What ore ye doen up 'ear all by yerself?" he asked, a short grin on his face as he tried to be friendly, but the coldness that bound his heart made his smile less friendly.
((For those who can't read Cyrus' accent, I'll write it down here in italics for you. "Hey there, good looking," "What are you doing up here all by yourself?" Once I play with him more, I'll stop putting this down here as it will be easier to understand.))

Vivian jumped back a little. This guy had seemed to come out of nowhere. She raised one eyebrow. He had some kind of accent, but she wasn't sure what it was. It was, however, hard to understand him.
She decided to at least try to understand. "I sometimes come up here to think. Wait, what are you doing here?" she asked, flinging the same question back at him. She had come up here to be alone, and this guy had given her a heart attack!

Cyrus half chuckled and grunted as the female hurled his question right back at him. Placing his right hand on his chin, he scratched an old scar that ran down his cheek. "I came tae see what all de talk was 'bout dis place," he stated, cocking his head to the side.
His very presence seemed to make this young female on edge, or maybe it was just that he had intrupted her thinking time. "Ore ye alone?" he asked, slightly curious as to wither this female was actually out in Infiniteria packland alone. Then again, she had that edge to her that screamed werewolf and it caused Cyrus to wonder if she belonged to a pack or not.

"Yeah, I'm alone," Vivian answered. "Are you?" she asked, making sure this guy wasn't in a pack and that he wasn't going to kill her. Not that he could, anyway. Vivian could have taken this guy right now if she had wanted.
But she didn't feel like arguing about anything. She wondered if this guy even had a pack. If he belonged to one, it certainly wasn't hers. She had never seen him before. She hoped he wasn't a lone wolf. He wouldn't last long.

Cyrus nodded, sadness smiling in his eyes as he tried to smile with his lips. "Loneliness be a hard ding tae live wid," he said, coming as close to an answer as the female would get, simply cause he was never alone, he had the wolf that lived inside him, that was always with him.
"Where do ye stay?" he asked, not remembering her face around Bucharest.
((Writers block, sorry. "Loneliness can be a hard thing to live with," "Wheredo you stay?"))

"In Bucharest, with...family," Vivian said. She didn't want this guy to bring a pack to start something. Besides, it was true. The pack she was in was considered her family. Even the other wolves thought of them as their relatives.
Maybe they weren't linked by blood, but they were linked by their gift. Being a werewolf, if you could call it that, had its upsides, especially if you didn't have a real family. Vivian didn't. That's why she loved being in a pack. It made her feel like she fit in.

If Cyrus had been a wolf when she had spoken about living in Bucharest with family, he would have been wagging his tail and his auds pointed straight up. He glanced at her, giving her a good looking over, trying to see if he had seen her around town, at any of the clubs or just walking down the street. They weren't vampires, they could walk among humans during the day.
"So ye live in Bucharest . . . . wid yer family . . . . Where in Bucharest? I also live dere and can't recall if I have ever been seein' ye around," he stated, leaning back and placing his hands flat on the stone, while reclining his torso back some.

Vivian looked away. "Well, I don't get out much. Usually I'm at an underground rave or something. My cousins like to go there," Vivian said.
She put an emphasis on cousins. They were jerks and only cared about themselves. They didn't care who got in their way. Vivian worried about them sometimes. They were a danger. She turned back to the guy. "So where do you live?" Vivian asked.

A wicked grin cut across Cyrus' face as she questioned his own place of living quarters. With a kind shrug and a bob of his head, he seemed to be indicating something over the mountain on the other side of them. "Back in Bucharest, of course," he stated, unable to think of something witty for a second.
He glanced at her, wondering if he actually knew her cousins, which in turn could mean, he actually knew this little female. "Have I met yer cousins? Or do ye knaw de club ye gae tae?" he asked.

Vivian narrowed her eyes. "Sorry. I don't share my personal information. At least not much of it," Vivian replied. She wasn't about to spill her guts to someone she didn't even know that well.
That was a dangerous thing to do. Who knew how powerful this guy could really be? Any second, he could attack Vivian. He seemed so unstable to her.

Her sudden outburst within the conversation caused Cyrus to grunt, but that was it. The rest of his anger and unhappiness at the fact that she wouldn't tell him was hidden within him. "Whatever ye say, Lassie," he growled, standing. "Well . . . . It be late and I be havin' a long walk ahead of me," he stated, as if trying to play human. "See ye around Bucharest, Lassie," he stated, as if the little endearment was a new nickname he had given the girl he hadn't even known for more than an hour.
He turned, looking out over the cliff with a grin on his face. The night was truely beautiful up here. He would have to start coming back . . . At least until the Alpha Male of the Infiniteria pack found out he was wondering around his lands.
"Nice tae meet ye, Lassie . . . Take care of yerself," he said, before slipping his long body over the side of the cliff, ready to scale back down the way he had come up.
